PHIZ Technique
PHIZ technique is a physical, organic, improvised way of story-telling.
PHIZ by definition, means a persons expression – which is core to this method of story-telling, as there are no words.
Rooted in improvisation, impulses, instincts, physical expression, rhythm and movement, actors develop a ‘language’ of communication to build and find a story without words. This ‘language’ is what is practiced and rehearsed, and involves an emotional and rhythmic response to music, and each other, through repeated movement.
Throughout the week actors develop the craft and devise their own stories together.
