FILM-MAKING CLUB

Weekly online workshops

Film Showcases

Global Community

Film-Making Club was born after our artistic community of theatre makers became a film community in 2020 during the global pandemic and lockdown, where over 100 artists each term came together to take part in online workshops across the globe, developing skills and making short films. Inspired by this explorative and exciting journey, Film-Making Club was launched in 2021. Wherever you are in the world you can develop your film-making skills from the comfort of your own home and connect with creatives within your artistic community.

Workshops take place online, and depending on your location and team, films and web series are either made remotely online or together in-person.

In Film-Making Club you will:

  • Attend weekly online workshops with other actors, writers and directors in a mixed group, for 8 consecutive weeks
  • Develop film making skills
  • Work towards a 3 part web series, with encouragement and support from DCT to have a future life after the term finishes
  • Make films on a zero budget
  • Attend industry led online workshops
  • Develop and hone creative ideas and techniques for film and zoom
  • Be a part of a large artistic community
  • Free membership to The Artists Hub
  • Extra: Exclusive invitations to attend community events and socials (in-person, please note this is an extra benefit for anyone who is UK based)
