JUDGED BY AUDIENCE VOTE AND INDUSTRY PANEL
Some of the UK’s most talented emerging artists are selected to compete in front of a voting audience and an industry panel. Presented by comedian Mandy Dassa.
Hoping to make the cut, writers submit their work and the top monologues are shortlisted for the competition. After a first round of auditions, actors are chosen to go head to head, performing the monologues in a series of rounds, in which the winning actor and writer is chosen!
Previous industry panel members have included agents, producers and casting directors from Independent Talent Agency, Curtis Brown Literary Agency, Jenkins and McShane Casting, Dawn Sedgewick Management, Angel & Francis Ltd, Futerman & Rose Associates, Shane Collins Associates, Shan Ogilvie ITV Producer, Jules Haworth Education Producer at Soho Theatre, Irene Cotton CDG, Adam Spreadbury-Maher the Artistic Director of Kings Head Theatre
WINNERS PRIZES!
Supporting rising talent in moving forward with their careers!
Actors: £148 towards Equity membership (Trade Union for professional performers) or free membership to The Actors Club run by Director’s Cut Theatre Company.
Writers: Free script development service. Three dramaturgy sessions (full script analysis) on any script or piece of writing of their choice with Artistic Director Heather Ward or free membership to The Writers Club run by Director’s Cut Theatre Company.
